  • Thanks!

We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our friends 20 Ton Bridge and Urban Sun for rocking the house with us at Mexicali Live Saturday night, and, of course, to all of you who came down to shake your asses! We had a great time, and now we’re heading back into the studio to keep working on the album. 2012 will be a fantastic year for Blue Food. We have a lot of awesome things in store for the next few months, so stay tuned!

    Working Hard

Summer is in full force, and we’re kicking recording into high gear for the next month or so. It’s going great and we’re really excited about the sounds we’re laying down. We’re really looking forward to sharing this craziness with you. It’s going to be a very big next few months for us. Stay tuned, we’re working on some goodies for the meantime.

    Thank you!

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Urban Sun and Subcommittee for kicking ass onstage. Also, much love and gratitude to Jeff, Mick, and Kristen over at Mexicali for hooking the show up and making it our best gig ever.

And, of course, thanks to all our friends, fans, and family that came out last night. It was by far our biggest turnout for a gig, ever, and we couldn’t do that without you. We value and appreciate your support, and we look forward to seeing you shake your asses with us again.

We’re heading back into the studio tomorrow to keep working on this record, but we have another gig lined up at Arlene’s Grocery on July 15th!

    Check you soon.

    -Angel

    Recording/Mexicali

Recording is going, going, and going. We’re working hard finishing up a brand new song at rehearsals and trying to head down to The Ungarground whenever we can to lay down some more tracks. This stuff is really sounding amazing, and I can’t wait for you all to check it out. We may have some goodies for you in the near future, so stay tuned for all that stuff.

In the meantime, we’re returning to NJ’s most badass music venue, Mexicali Live, on June 3rd with our friends Urban Sun and Subcommittee. It’s our first time back at Mexicali since our Halloween show back in 2010, and we’re really pumped to hit that stage again. We’re headlining and playing a full set of our original material, so you don’t want to miss it!

    Stay tuned,

    -Angel

    Recording / Bitter End

Recording is going very well. We’re in there almost every day of the week, as well as continuing rehearsals and writing a brand new song. We’re working very hard to have this album out to you this summer, so stay tuned for that.

In the meantime, we’re booking fundraising gigs to pay for the mixing, mastering, and printing of our album. The first gig of 2011 is THIS SATURDAY, April 9th at The Bitter End. We go on at 9 PM SHARP, and it’s only $10 to get in (18+, minors can get in with a parent). We’ll also be selling our fantastic Blue Food t-shirts for only $7! Come down and get funky with us, and help us raise enough money to pay for the ridiculously funked out album we’re working on!

    Recording: Day 1

Today we hit The Ungarground and begin sessions for our debut full-length album! We’re all really excited. It’s been a long process and it’s taken a lot of work, and we still have quite a bit of work ahead of us, but it’s going to be awesome and well worth the time and energy. We know you will enjoy it.

Stay tuned for updates and goodies throughout the process!

    We’re not dead!

Don’t worry, people. We’re still here. We have no shows planned as of yet. We’re really kicking a new song into gear right now at rehearsals, and we’re prepping to finally hit the studio to begin recording our full-length album. It’s all coming, and we will be posting updates once the recording process begins with photos, videos, etc. Bear with us, and stay tuned. It’s going to be kickass.
